Mixing your own music using WavePad and MixPad

Are you a budding musical genius? Do you ever secretly compose songs in four parts and find you can only play one at a time? Then MixPad and WavePad are the freeware programs for

you. You can see a tutorial on how to use MixPad on Youtube, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EozW6xMwyC0 You can download a free trial version of the product and start playing right away!

Using this technology I managed to record four tracks of myself singing a song in SAT and B parts, and I was very pleased with the results. You can save the tracks as a recording (.wav) or a raw file for editing and there are record to podcast or RSS features too which could definitely come in handy.

You record the files and mix them in MixPad and if you want to edit them you do that in WavePad. The two programs arrive together and complement eachother.

You can also record and mix files from CD's, including splitting the different tracks, but obviously you have to keep it legal and be aware of other performer's rights, so I would advise against recording material from the Internet, which is also possible using this program. For any serious efforts you would probably need a digital keyboard.
