Yesterday I decided to make a spreadsheet to calculate the annual leave of my staff, since this I find this difficult to get my head around. I found an excellent site, John Burke's Educational Project that tells you how to do it and I shall put it to my managers today and see what they think. You can buy templates at various websites from only about $10 but they hide the formulae so you can't really see what the website is doing and whether you need to adjust it, so John's site is excellent because it explains everything, so you learn as you go. I can't wait to see what other educational projects he has launched on the world!
