William Tweedie has provided some good interactive information about referencing on the Queen Mary University of London site
It links to a Queen Mary citation wizard
where you can generate your own references to check you are getting formats correct until you learn how to do it without. You can also compare Harvard and Vancouver style references. Moreover William has included links to his files so that you can use them to teach others by incorporating them in a VLE etc.
