I have been thinking a little about how to organise my personal files that are currently on my home computer. I see that Cambridge University now have a Research Data Management website which inlcludes a section on
how to organise your files. A friend was recently singing the praises of using Outlook and saving your files to one Drive. He said it was handy to have your email and files all in the same place online.
There are all those privacy and ownership and bandwidth issues with storing everything things online.
I bought a 500GB external WD hard drive from PC World and stuck my documents on there to be going along with. Must remember to back up my photos next. Although all the good ones are on Facebook.
