Recently I have been having some issues with a shared server where some Wordpress sites that I administer are situated. A friend has advised me that I should switch servers as some use unethical tactics. The whole issue of the ethics of IT firms, for instance some who make you take a lot of trouble to leave them, is a very important one and perhaps I should think about dedicating my future in this direction and becoming an academic IT ethicist. I will bear the matter some thought.
For instance some servers exploit the information on your websites to resell adverts and this is unethical.
